Media Maven Communications
Laura Kershner founded Media Maven Communications in 2010 which is a public relations and communications business that operates
under the belief that an organization’s communications needs are of the utmost
importance for business growth.
Media Maven Communications uses both social media
networking and traditional publicity and media campaigns to meet
businesses needs and has worked successfully with non-profit
organizations, small business and government organizations to reach
targeted goals and audiences.
Kershner is a public affairs and communications
professional with a background in media and government relations, non-profit
communications and marketing, cable franchise coordination and live television
news production and promotions.
She's served on the board of Salinas Valley Business
Women's Network, Salinas Valley Chamber of Commerce Ambassador
Committee, the First Mayor's House and the Monterey County Theatre Alliance. She is currently on the board of the Monterey Bay Belles Women's Barbershop Chorus and is a member of Fundbuilders Alliance. She is a proud graduate of Leadership Salinas
Valley, Class XXVI.
Kershner grew up in Bakersfield, California...affectionately known by locals as Nashville-West. She is a 1991 graduate of Cal State University, Bakersfield with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a Bachelor of Arts in History. She maintains her strong family ties, easy going attitude and a folksy style that always puts her clients at their ease.
